GENERAL

USGA Rules govern all play except local rules. Local rules will be available in the Golf Shop.

Turn in to the Golf Shop all scores for handicap purposes.

All play starts from the #1 tee unless otherwise approved by the Golf Professional Staff.

The membership has a tradition of fast play. All groups should play at a pace to complete 18 holes in no more time than 3 ½ hours. Groups will be monitored to detect slow play with special emphasis on fivesomes or groups with walkers. Slower groups must allow faster groups to play through.

All cart operators must have a valid state automobile driver’s license. No exceptions.

Children under 15 will not be allowed on the Golf Course before 12:30 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays unless prior approval is given by the Golf Professional Staff.

Jogging, walking, bicycling, pets and other types of exercise activities, other than golf, are prohibited during regular golf operation hours.

Coolers are not to be brought on property. All food and beverage must be purchased at the Golf Club (coolers are provided by Club at no charge).

Please make arrangements with the Golf Shop to play prior to or in between our organized golf games which will be posted in the Golf Shop.

Please make every effort to pick up cigarette butts and loose trash and dispense in available receptacles.

GUEST RULES

The purpose of the guest rules are to allow as much flexibility as possible for local and out of town members to play golf without interfering with the regular play of the members of the Lookout Mountain Golf Club. Speed of play is also considered in determining the following rules:

Local guests (within 50 mile radius) may play no more than twice a month on weekends/holidays and must be accompanied by a Member. A Member may accompany up to three foursomes at any time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with permission from the Golf Professional, while Fridays and weekend guest play will be limited to one foursome. Sponsoring Members must sign the guest book for all guests indicating their name and whether local or out of town. Record of such play will be furnished to the Golf Operations Committee each month for consideration and action in case of misuse.

Out of town guests of a Member visiting three days or more may pay one guest green fee of $150 per week not exceeding two weeks (all other charges- cart rental, etc. will be paid in addition to this weekly guest green fee). A guest card will be issued by the Club.

Unaccompanied guest play is allowed Tuesday through Thursday, and possibly Friday through Sunday if activity permits. Members who sponsor these guests may do so by calling for approval from the Golf Professional. Members may sponsor up to 2 foursomes. Unaccompanied guests will be charged appropriate guest fees.

Golf Outings and Wedding/Family activities – If possible, the Golf Operations Committee will authorize Outings or special activities to benefit your family or business planning. Please contact our General Manager or Golf Professional well in advance of your event.
